Summary:KCC a leader in the climate control technology industries is looking for anexperienced HVACRefrigeration DesignEngineerto join our team and help shape the next generation aRefrigeration Design Engineer you will be working collaboratively and independently with other designers engineers and departments whoare responsible forthe designsupportand manufacturing of Commercial HVAC products. You will learn how to take a product from concept to customer with a focus on internal systems performance components manufacturing efficiency and engineering data.
Essential Functions:
- Design and analyzerefrigerationsystemsrelated to the operation of HVAC equipment
- Collaborate with suppliers on the design of alternative components
- Contribute to the design of new products and improvements to existing products
- Analyze test results and implementappropriate changesto ensure products meetregulatorytechnicaland functional requirements.
- Collect and interpret test results and recommendappropriate designchanges
- Research and evaluate partsandprocesses for performance costefficiencyand reliability
- Provide finalized design data tomaintainERP and CPQ system configurators
- Collaborate with Designers in the design offinished equipmentready for manufacturing
- Create process documentsandbest practices
- Work closely with the purchasing department to evaluate RFPs and RFQs
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain personal protective equipment.
- Accomplishes Product (organizational) goals by accepting ownership foraccomplishingnew and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Wholistic view of products and their interdependencies
- Strong knowledge of refrigerationcycle andcomponents and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
- 3 Years of HVAC system orcomponentdesign experience
