Job Description Summary
The Wake Forest Law Fellow serves as a versatile member of the law schools academic and administrative team providing cross-functional support to key departments and initiatives. This role assists with the operation of the law schools clinics contributes to academic success and bar exam preparation efforts and provides support to the Universitys Office of General Counsel as needed. The position requires strong organizational communication and analytical skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with faculty staff students and external partners. Essential Functions:
Support for Law School Clinics
Assist clinical faculty with day-to-day administrative operational and project-based needs.
Coordinate client intake scheduling file management and communications consistent with confidentiality and professional responsibility requirements.
Support student practice activities including preparing documents organizing case materials and assisting with research as directed.
Facilitate communication between clinics students external partners and community organizations.
Academic Success and Bar Preparation
Draft edit revise curriculum modules that comply with the NextGen UBE format across tested foundational subjects. Coordinate feedback with doctrinal faculty experts.
Support applicants studying for the bar exam by coordinating and managing community building efforts such as The Bar Lounge and wellness activities.
Support academic affairs by coordinating and managing simulated testing events both in-person and virtual.
Maintain ongoing communications with ABC Coaches regarding their mentoring relationships with bar applicants.
Support bar applicants by coordinating details and logistics for on-site support at the North Carolina Bar exam.
Review and suggest revisions for AEP materials available to for first-year students.
Office of General Counsel
Provide administrative and research assistance to the Universitys General Counsel including document preparation scheduling and file organization.
Conduct legal or factual research as assigned ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with institutional policies.
Help manage communications meeting logistics and document repositories for legal and compliance functions.
Cross-Functional Administrative Support
Serve as a flexible resource to respond to emerging needs across the law school and university legal operations.
Draft correspondence memos reports and other documents with professionalism and attention to detail.
Maintain organized records databases and tracking systems for multiple departments.
Uphold confidentiality professionalism and ethical standards in all duties.
Other Functions:
Participate in training professional development and law school events as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the law school and university.
Required Education Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited institution
