Radiology Technical Coordinator Mammography (Full-Time, 8-Hour Day Shifts)

• Arranges on-going training for staff relative to CR and DR (Direct Radiography).
• Compiles statistical and QA data as needed. Works with CR vendors and radiologist to set imaging parameter and protocols.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of supply requirements; makes recommendations concerning the purchase maintenance and/or repair of equipment.
• Participates in orientation and training of assigned staff students residents and faculty.
• Prepares and coordinates work schedules (including on-call holiday sign-up and vacation sign-up). Previews timecards for accuracy.
• Prepares contrast media and recognizes and responds to allergic reactions to contrast media.
• Prepares patient for exam i.e. identifying oneself explaining procedures confirming patient ID and checking correctness of the order
• Prepares room and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment failures and reports problems to the appropriate individual
• Produces quality images following established departmental and QA (Quality Assurance) protocols to include technique views position proper labeling and patient ID (Identification)
• Reports problems concerning staffing requirements work methods staff morale etc. and recommend solutions as appropriate to supervisor.

• Requirement met by License/Certification Requirement

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

• Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions
• Ability to manage workflow and/or unit productivity
• Ability to perform general and specialized radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures which meet the departmentsstandard of quality
• Ability to plan organize develop tactical plans and set priorities
• Ability to solve problems and identify solutions
• Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job
• Ability to work effectively as a team player
• Knowledge of billing process
• Knowledge of Imaging processes and fluoroscopic techniques methods and equipment
• Knowledge of local state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
• Knowledge of radiation production positioning and radiation safety

• CRT
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• ARRT-RTR - Reg Tech-Radiography ARRT
