Position Overview:

The Community Health and Violence Prevention Services Division Quality Assurance Analyst ensures RISE (Relentless Interrupters Serving Everyone) effectively reduces violence by monitoring data evaluating interventions (i.e. street outreach community- and hospital-violence intervention) checking service quality and reporting on outcomes focusing on data integrity participant tracking and compliance with policies and procedures and best practices for community-centered public safety strategies.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor adherence to community- and hospital-violence intervention programs best practices such as trauma-informed care conflict mediation protocols evidence-based strategies and ensure adherence to program protocols policies and procedures (e.g. outreach referrals) to assess effectiveness.
  • Conduct records review audit program data for accuracy (e.g. meaningful relationships participant engagement prevention of potential violent incidents).
  • Analyze data on program effectiveness evaluate service delivery identify trends gaps in resources and/or outreach and provide feedback for continuous improvement potentially using quantitative/qualitative methods.
  • Generate reports for stakeholders (e.g. management county officials community partners) on program impact performance and outcomes.
  • Use insights from data and evaluations to recommend program enhancements new strategies and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure analyses are aligned with agency requirements including working closely with the Office of Planning and Innovation on strategy and planning and evaluation and performance management.
  • Acts as a liaison and assists with any violence intervention collaboration needs from the Community Health and Violence Prevention Services Division as needed.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Health Education Social or Behavioral Sciences or other Related Field from an accredited college/university

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in Program Evaluation Compliance Data Management Quality Assurance and Control and/or Violence Prevention Strategies

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid Texas Drivers License (upon hire)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Ability to work well with public and staff members
  • Must use your personal mobile device for our Multifactor Authentication process

General Information

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm depending on division and department needs including community engagement events.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily office-based offering a professional and collaborative workspace utilizing technology to support daily tasks including computers phones and software applications. While much of the work is desk-based the role may also involve meetings video conferences and in-person interactions with colleagues or clients.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit bend and stand for extended periods of time.
