Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Media Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bedfordshire on a full-time permanent basis starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a Media specialist who enjoys teaching motivated students and delivering engaging contemporary lessons at KS4 and KS5.
Media Studies is a growing and well-supported subject within the school with strong student interest and a clear focus on analytical thinking creativity and real-world application.
The Role
Teaching Media Studies across KS4 and KS5
Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering theory analysis and practical media production
Supporting pupils with coursework exam preparation and independent projects
Encouraging critical thinking and creativity across a range of media forms
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Contributing to curriculum development within the Media department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Media Studies Film Communications or a related subject
Experience teaching Media at KS4 and KS5
Strong subject knowledge of contemporary media theory and practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and achievement
A professional organised and enthusiastic teaching approach
