Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Handles claims including Auto Physical Damage (APD) and Cargo claims from start to finish.

Manages a diverse caseload from across the U.S ensuring timely and effective settlements while maintaining high professional standards.

Caseload: 100-120 claims

Handle claims related to commercial auto incidents including physical damage and liability claims.

Investigate evaluate negotiate and settle claims efficiently.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Maintain detailed documentation for each claim.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful claim outcomes.

Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

High school Diploma or equivalent is required

5 years in Heavy Commercial Auto claims handling or a similar role.

Experience with APD and Cargo claims is a huge plus a mix of both carrier and TPA experience is acceptable however carrier experience is highly preferred.

Must hold an active adjuster license multi-jurisdictional a plus.

Strong understanding of commercial auto/trucking insurance principles.

Strong organization skills attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work are required.

Analytical thinking skills are needed to properly evaluate complex claims

A strong attention to detail is necessary as claims adjusters must carefully review documents and policies

Good verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are required experience with negotiations knowledge of litigation process is preferred but not required.

Basic computer skills or the ability to quickly learn new software are required

A strong work ethic and time management skills are needed

Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with clients and claimants is needed.

Ability to calculate figures is required

The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
