Mat-Su College an extended campus of UAA is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Service Worker III. This is a union position responsible for the upkeep and operation of campus facilities and grounds. Primary duties include custodial and maintenance services within the Glenn Massay Theater and other campus buildings landscaping and snow removal and the operation of vehicles and equipment to support these functions. The position also maintains inventories of fleet vehicles and cleaning supplies organizing items and filling order forms as necessary. The Maintenance Service Worker III will assist with vehicle support tasks such as jump starts and lockouts to ensure the safety cleanliness and functionality of the campus.

To thrive in this role the successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of custodial practices basic building maintenance and groundskeeping techniques including landscaping and snow removal. Proficiency in safely operating and maintaining a variety of equipment such as plows mowers lifts and floor care machines is essential. The role requires attention to detail and the flexibility to perform diverse tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments. Strong problem-solving skills reliability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also key to success in supporting the colleges facilities and ensuring a safe welcoming campus for students staff and visitors.

*This position works Tuesday through Saturday Second shift*

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a current valid drivers license and a clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria. Certificate of Completion from a technical school and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Matanuska-Susitna campus in Palmer Alaska. This is a full-time non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary andfull employee benefits package.
