Job Summary

Job Title: Verification or Electrical Test Engineer

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Location: Greater Twin Cities MN

Overview: Our client is a leading medical device company and needs a hands-on Verification or Electrical Test Engineer to execute electrical design verification testing for implantable medical devices. This role is lab-based and focused on bench testing protocol development execution and reporting to support design verification and regulatory submissions.

This is a 12-month assignment onsite with potential for extension in the greater Twin Cities MN area.

Responsibilities

Execute electrical design verification testing for implantable medical devices
Develop write and execute test protocols and verification reports
Perform hands-on bench testing of electrical and electromechanical components
Set up and operate lab equipment (e.g. power supplies oscilloscopes DAQs signal generators)
Troubleshoot test failures and document results deviations and root cause findings
Collaborate with R&D Systems and Quality teams to ensure verification requirements are met
Support design verification documentation in compliance with regulated design controls

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering or related field
5-10 years of industry experience and proven ability to perform electrical verification or test engineering in a regulated medical device environment
Hands-on lab experience with electrical testing of complex devices (implantable experience strongly preferred)
Proven ability to author and execute verification protocols and reports
Familiarity with design controls verification & validation (V&V) and quality system requirements
Strong documentation data analysis and technical communication skills
Programming experience (LabVIEW MATLAB C/C Python etc.)
