Overview:
Looking for a hands-on Data Architect with strong experience in Master Data Management (MDM) focused on healthcare provider/physician data. The ideal candidate will design and implement MDM solutions to manage provider information across systems. This is not a health insurance or payer data role - experience must come from the healthcare provider side (e.g. hospitals health systems physician networks).
Key Skills:
Strong hands-on SQL and Databricks experience
Deep experience in MDM design & implementation (match/merge logic survivorship rules data modeling cleansing workflows)
Background in provider or physician data - examples: practitioner master credentialing NPI specialty affiliations Epic provider master HL7/FHIR integrations
Experience building data pipelines data modeling and integrating provider data with enterprise data platforms
Knowledge of data quality frameworks governance and metadata management
Good communicator - able to work with business and clinical stakeholders
Ideal fit:
Candidates who have worked with provider or physician MDM systems in hospitals EHR environments (Epic Cerner) or healthcare networks.
Those who built or maintained provider master data credentialing databases or provider directories.
Backgrounds showing collaboration between data engineering and clinical operations teams.
Not a Fit:
Candidates from health insurance payer or claims data background only.
Pure data engineers without MDM or healthcare provider exposure.
Profiles that mention member data claims or policy systems as their main focus.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with MDM tools (Reltio Informatica MDM Semarchy Profisee IBM MDM Unity Catalog)
Experience with FHIR HL7 NPI registries credentialing sources
Prior work with data stewardship or governance roles
