How youll contribute
ATelemetry Technicianwho excels in this role:
Monitors and interprets patient heart rhythm and documents on patient record per department standards.
Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
Troubleshoots monitors with nursing staff and contacts Clinical Engineering as appropriate.
Cleans disinfects and stores leads and telemetry units.
Replaces defective equipment and reports failures to Clinical Engineering.
- Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
- Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
What were looking for
It is preferred that applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree (Preferred) *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education Additional requirements include:
1 year related experience (Preferred)
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
