Job Summary
The firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with 47 years of civil litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload of complex matters. This hybrid role offers meaningful case ownership direct client interaction and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on high-quality litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings motions discovery requests and responses
- Prepare and argue dispositive motions in state court
- Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions
- Prepare for and attend hearings arbitrations mediations and trials
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda in support of case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients and prepare detailed status reports
- Collaborate with partners colleagues and experts to develop litigation strategy
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active admission to the New Jersey State Bar
- 4 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience practicing in New Jersey state and federal courts
- Demonstrated experience with depositions and motion practice
- ADR experience including arbitrations and mediations preferred
- Ability to manage deadlines prioritize workload and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
