Description

The Maintenance Technician / Handyman supports the upkeep repair and general maintenance of building systems equipment and grounds. This role is ideal for candidates with handyman experience or basic maintenance skills who are looking to grow into a full maintenance technician position through onthejob training.

Pay: $25.00 / hour.

Responsibilities

Perform general handyman and maintenance tasks including basic plumbing electrical carpentry painting and drywall repair
Assist with routine and preventive maintenance of building systems and equipment
Complete work orders related to lighting fixtures doors locks flooring and minor appliance repairs
Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and escalate complex repairs as needed
Conduct visual inspections of facilities to identify repair or safety needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas tools and storage rooms
Support facility upkeep including groundskeeping trash removal and basic janitorial tasks as needed
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
1+ year of handyman maintenance facilities apartment or construction-related experience
Basic knowledge of common tools and repair techniques
Ability to perform minor electrical plumbing carpentry and painting tasks
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior maintenance staff
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to read basic instructions work orders and safety guidelines
