Job Overview

Standby Personnel is seeking an experienced Ammonia Tech to monitor maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and plant equipment. This Ammonia Tech role is ideal for a technician with strong refrigeration electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. The Ammonia Tech position plays a critical role in plant safety system performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Youll Do

The Ammonia Tech role includes the following duties:

Monitor and maintain ammonia and refrigeration systems
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on freezers and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical mechanical and refrigeration components
Document system readings and maintenance activities
Repair leaks (water hydraulic ammonia nitrogen)
Follow GMPs safety standards and PPE requirements
Support continuous improvement and plant safety initiatives

Requirements

35 years industrial refrigeration experience
Ability to obtain or currently hold R.E.T.A. Certification
Strong understanding of Process Safety Management
Electrical knowledge: 480/320v 3ph & 120v
Skilled with automation controls testing equipment and troubleshooting
Ability to work in hot cold and loud environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
