Established in 1981 the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world with more than 130 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4000 of which about 1000 are graduate students.
We invite applications for the position of Lead Faculty Appointments. Reporting to the Head Faculty Affairs of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) the incumbent will work closely with the other functional leads and colleagues at both School and College levels to oversee daily operations and support selected strategic initiatives. The incumbent will also ensure the smooth running of the schools business and academic support functions while also contributing to longer-term improvements that strengthen EEEs ability to serve its students faculty and research community.
We are seeking a proactive leader to oversee Faculty Appointments team for the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). The role will manage faculty recruitment appointments promotions and onboarding drive faculty engagement and development initiatives. Acting as the key liaison between faculty and central administration the role ensures fair timely and policy-compliant processes while fostering a collaborative and high-performing academic environment.
Key Responsibilities but are not limited to:
Lead the digital transformation of workflows migrating manual processes to Microsoft Forms and Power Automate.
Identify inefficiencies and design digital solutions to streamline operations.
Identify workflow gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
Build interactive dashboards in Power BI for tracking data analysis and reporting purposes.
Assist in developing and implementing faculty recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent such as Nanyang Assistant Professors (NAPs) to EEE
Collaborate with school leadership and HR teams to streamline hiring processes and ensure compliance with university policies.
Establish faculty onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the EEE community effectively.
Oversee faculty lifecycle such as appointment promotion and tenure processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Be the point of contact for faculty affairs-related queries from the other leads and faculty members.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or above in a STEM-related field (e.g. Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) or other relevant disciplines.
Minimum of three to five years of working experience in the higher education institutions.
Relevant experience in faculty affairs academic administration or human resources within a higher education institution is preferred.
Strong leadership stakeholder management and engagement skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in faculty recruitment engagement and space planning is highly desirable.
