Job Description Summary
The Steam Power Services India EHS Leader is responsible for creating implementing and maintaining the organizations strategy on EHS issues. Will ensure compliance with EHS policies programs and procedures and government standards. Will assist with conducting audits and onsite inspections and analyzing data to provide recommendations for improving processes and programs. You will interact with customers government agencies and other functions for customer pre-qualification and project/outage planning requirements across the outage EHS Plan do check act cycle taking active part on ORR and post outage learning. Will collect consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources to determine site entry statuses for field employees. You will recommend innovative solutions and process improvements across multiple areas to achieve overall EHS blueprint. As well as meet any other assigned duties to help proactively activity performance align with SP organizations core values.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead Services India EHS Organization
Daily management for assigned outages/scope
Collaborate with SP critical Partners clients contractor worker and agency on EHS
Support ITO EHS needs
Provide Subject matter expertise to EHS planning EHS execution & EHS Learning.
Establish in-depth analysis of metrics and define actions initiatives and risk reduction projects to improve safety performance
Contribute to the development of Steam Power Services Safety Global Programs and initiatives
Ensure that all employees are informed of comprehend and comply with EHS policies and procedures as well as local regulations
Communicate timely regarding injury and illness awareness and mitigating measures
Assist with preparing for audits and inspections by government entities including but not limited to federal state or local municipalities
Conduct internal audits and provide actions to reduce operational EHS risk
Manage incident and injury reporting within specified GEV guidelines OSHA and applicable regulations
Ensure timely and accurate event reporting investigations action closure & read across
Ensure that EHS training is accurately assigned up to date timely completed as defined by SP training matrix client and local regulations.
Ensure operationalization of EHS framework
Ensure outages are staffed with the right level of EHS support
Ensure Site EHS Specialist or acting EHS receive the required onboarding
Ensuring site level EHS support has a rhythm with the regional EHS team
Ensure GEV systema of records are accurate and timely updated as per the compliance assurance expectation
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree/Diploma from an accredited university or college with post graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from State Technical Board.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading EHS projects/ Services & performance initiatives Field experience is required in power plants
English proficiency required.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Ability to work in a matrix environment influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GEV (customers and regulatory agencies)
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prepare accurate reports containing findings and recommendations
Strong customer service skills and interpersonal skills
Professional certification in EHS fields such as CSP or CIH.
Working knowledge of Gensuite EHS Management System
Working knowledge of Support Central Yammer and web-based communications tools
Knowledge of GEVs EHS programs and policies
