Job Function: Engineering Quality Assurance Process Improvement
Job Summary: Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes materials and products by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and maintain quality standards procedures and documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan conduct and support inspections audits and testing activities.
- Use statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance.
- Conduct PFMEA control plans and other core quality planning activities.
- Review engineering drawings specifications and change orders for quality impact.
- Maintain detailed accurate documentation for inspections audits and quality reports.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government regulations industry quality codes and standards.
- Support new product introduction with quality requirements and validation methods.
- Investigate customer complaints and support customer-facing quality activities.
- Collaborate with production engineering suppliers and management on quality-related issues.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Train employees on quality standards inspection methods and best practices.
- Programs operates and interprets results from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify product conformance and support root-cause investigations.
- Occasional travel required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field is highly desired.
- Knowledge of Auto-Cad and Solid-Works design software; Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
- Routinely reach with hands and arms to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
