As a Payments - Product Manager- EMEA Emerging Rails (Pay by Bank/Open Banking & Real Time Payments) - Vice President (All genders) - Frankfurt with the EMEA Emerging Rails team you will be an integral part of a wider team that owns the end-to-end commercial and market strategy for the EMEA Real Time Payment and Pay By Bank (Open Banking) products. The Product Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of EMEA Emerging Payment Rails with a focus on Pay By Bank. This role emphasizes market strategy commercialisation and supporting client onboarding and enablement. Success in this position requires close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the product meets evolving client needs and market opportunities as well as strong business acumen and experience in driving product adoption and growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the client and industry centric strategic direction for Pay By Bank and other Emerging Payment rails in EMEA
- Serve as subject matter expert for Pay By Bank providing guidance and expertise to external clients as well as Sales and other stakeholders
- Partner with Sales to support client onboarding enablement and ongoing engagement
- Identify and assess new market opportunities use cases and partnerships to drive product relevance and adoption
- Maintain and evolve the product roadmap prioritising enhancements and developments based on client demand and market trends
- Monitor regulatory developments competitive landscape and industry trends to inform product positioning and strategy
- Represent the product in industry forums client meetings and external events to promote J.P. Morgans leadership in emerging rails and feedback internally to inform and drive strategy
- Collaborate with Technology Teams and Product Owners to deliver API-driven solutions that enhance product capabilities and client experiences
- Manage Profit and Loss (P&L) including accurate financial planning and delivery against revenue and expense targets
- Develop and deliver client-facing materials training and thought leadership to support Sales and client onboarding
- Collaborate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to identify develop and implement new solutions and product improvements that are globally consistent & Understand the risks inherent in the product and drive programs to reduce or eliminate
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Proven experience in market strategy commercialising client onboarding and product management for Pay By Bank and Real Time Payments solutions in Europe
- Strong understanding of the payments landscape European payments regulation and market trends
- Thorough understanding of API technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with client-facing teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to identify and assess market opportunities
- Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership financial analytical and strategic skill set
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales product technology legal risk and compliance)
- Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
- Experience representing products or solutions in industry forums or client events
