Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated EMC NOISE&VIBRATION TEST ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in NAPLES - IT

Accountabilities

• Conducting laboratory tests using established procedures and specialized equipment and software.
• Accurately recording experimental data analyzing results and interpreting findings.
• Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Writing technical reports and presenting findings
• Development of test documentation
• Development of calculation and simulation models of EM fields in railway vehicles
• Development of railway research activities

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Previous experience in Noise&Vibration or EMC Testing
• Good knowledge about Noise&Vibration and /or EMC issues
• Good knowledge of Noise&Vibration or EMC calculations techniques
• Good knowledge of signal processing techniques
• Knowledge of sw and methods for Noise&Vibration and /or EMC calculation
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment
• Good knowledge of laboratory quality standards
• Good knowledge of measurement techniques/methods and data management
• Good knowledge of the Office environment
• Fundamentals of electronic circuits
• Ability to read understand and interpret the test results
• Ability to develop sw routines for data processing
• Ability to read understand and interpret drawing schematics and cable plans
• Basic working knowledge of Railway sector
• Basic understanding of software configuration managements
• Must be team oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Manage and lead assigned resources and suppliers in order to perform the tests and troubleshooting activities
• Validation and Verification Processes

Education/Qualifications

Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
