Job Summary
The Power Asset Data Intern will support PROPWRs Asset Integrity and Engineering teams by assisting with system integrations workflow automation and dashboard development that enhance visibility into asset conditions maintenance activities and operational performance. This role blends IT data engineering and asset integrity concepts giving the intern hands-on experience with the tools and processes that ensure safe reliable and compliant operations. on experience with tools and processes that ensure safe reliable and compliant operations.
Working directly under the Asset Integrity Manager the intern will help streamline data flows improve CMMS accuracy and build reporting tools that support risk identification performance trending and decision making. At the end of the program the intern will deliver a capstone project and present their findings to PROPWR leadershipmaking. Responsibilities
Assist with building and maintaining integrations between the CMMS operational systems and reporting platforms.
Support workflow automation that improves maintenance tracking inspection documentation and asset condition reporting.
Participate in troubleshooting integration issues and documenting resolutions.
Help evaluate integration performance and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
Develop dashboards that visualize asset integrity metrics including utilization metrics inspection results maintenance activity and performance trends.
Support the Asset Integrity Manager by generating reports used for risk assessments incident reviews and reliability planning.
Validate data sources to ensure that dashboards reflect accurate and timely information.
Assist in standardizing reporting templates and automated refresh processes.
Work with IT engineering operations and maintenance teams to understand asset workflows and data needs.
Support documentation of inspections assessments and maintenance activities within the CMMS.
Participate in data analysis related to materials consumption asset conditions failure trends and reliability improvement opportunities.
Gain exposure to asset integrity principles regulatory requirements and best practices.
Complete a defined summer project focused on integrations workflow automation or asset integrity reporting.
Develop structured analysis supporting data and recommendations.
Present findings to PROPWR leadership at the end of the internship.
Maintain compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions safety meetings and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Actively enrolled in a BS/MS program in Computer Science Information Systems Data Engineering Engineering Technology or a related field.
Availability to work fulltime (40 hours/week) during the summer internship period.
Ability to work onsite in Midland TX.
Familiarity with data integration concepts APIs or workflow automation tools preferred.
Experience with dashboarding platforms (Power BI Tableau etc.) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Interest in asset integrity maintenance systems and operational data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel PowerPoint Word).
Selfmotivated reliable and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with technical and nontechnical personnel.
