Were seeking an Associate Scientist (Breeding Operations) to support our Tomato Breeding team by managing administrative operations trial coordination and logistics. Youll be the operational backbone enabling our breeders to make data-driven decisions that advance our tomato portfolio.
This role bridges breeding science field operations and data management; ensuring seamless trial execution accurate data capture and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Accountabilities
Trial & Data Management
- Coordinate trial setup assessments and selections with Breeders and Breeding Operations teams
- Upload and maintain breeding data in databases with accuracy and timeliness
- Update seed health and phytosanitary information in systems
- Interface with farm teams and external partners for trial execution and data recording
Logistics & Coordination
- Manage logistics for seed and material shipments as requested by Breeders
- Collaborate with Crop Management to ensure high-quality trial conditions
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 GSPP protocols and HSE standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and standard implementations
Qualifications :
Required:
- University degree in Agronomy Horticulture Plant Science or related field.
- Basic experience or knowledge in vegetable crop management (tomato experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in databases and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001 GSPP) and continuous improvement mindset
