Job Summary

Position Role:

To act as HQ SJC(UK)s military adviser on the Defence Estates capabilities understanding the spectrum of services the Defence Estate is able to provide in support to UK MACA operations and be able to liaise with DIOs Management and Front Line Command (FLCs) Infra teams.

Responsibilities:

Engage routinely with the SJC-DIO Planning Advice and Coordination Team (PACT) to ensure timely and effective passage of information and forewarning of emergent plans likely to require support form DIO/Infra System.
Provide advice insight and support to HQ SJC on the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) operational capabilities and Defence Estate Capacities for UK Ops.
Provide advice insight and support to SPO/ Other Government Departments on the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) operational capabilities and Defence Estate Capacities for UK Ops
Proactive engagement with HQ SJC Ops Spt plus J3-5 and J5 cells to ensure early consideration of Infrastructure and early warning for Defence Estate usage allowing early planning and preparation.
Coordinate planning and delivery of Defence Estate specific MACAs.
Provide advice on DIO Soft FM/ HESTIA/ NGEC supply chain capability to maintain continuance of support to UK Base/ camp/ Units for Real Life Support (RLS)
Liaise with SJC JMC RC and RD and other Operation Commands as required to maintain a Common Operating Picture (COP) for the PACT.
Oversee Information Management for the PACT including submission of the Reports and Returns (R2) required by SJC and PACT and ownership of the PACT SharePoint Teams sites.

Domestic Considerations:

Detached duty. Post is in the DIO Military Advisor Cell (MAC) within DIOs Directorate of Strategy & Plans based out of Army HQ Andover. Flexible hybrid working is available. Regular travel to HQ SJC in Aldershot is expected. It is anticipated that due to job requirements over 35 Nights out of bed will be required in Aldershot and wider UK locations. This would include during times of high UK Ops tempo e.g. Op LONDON BRIDGE Op GOLDEN ORB and the wider UK to support site recces.
