Position SummaryImplement the SEL curriculum in one of three grade bands: K-2 3-5 or 6-8 as assigned. Provide additional program support. Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with SEL Response Team and classroom teaching teams to plan and implement the SEL curriculum daily and educational neuroscience curriculum weekly. Participate in fostering and maintaining an emotionally safe and trauma-responsive classroom and program environment at Horizons professional boundaries and mutually respectful relationships with students colleagues supervisors and community partners with the foundation of open communication respect and collaborationPrepare and gather materials to support student learningMonitor the well-being of students and help them safely transition between activitiesSupport classrooms and individual children with co-regulating activities as needed Provide direct classroom support during recreation and academic activities.
