Second Cook (Part Time)

The Hilton Toronto is seeking a part-time Second Cook to join our Culinary department.

Reporting to the Executive Chef this existing position is responsible for serving and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The key responsibilities are in the production and organization of the mise en place of the kitchen and assist the First Cook.

What will you be doing

The key responsibilities you would own as a part-time Second Cook are:

Produce the Mise en Place Kitchen
Set up the ordered for sales points
Ensure the organization and hygiene in the Kitchen
Prepare food using appropriate techniques of cooking under the guidance of his superior
Store and check the validity of food
Assist other departments whenever necessary
In shift changes transmit the information to turn and seek previous shift information
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Previous experience in industrial kitchen
Basic knowledge of food hygiene

Availability: Full availability. Coverage throughout the week including evenings holidays and weekends.
Wage: $25.26 per hour
