Job Summary

Location: Baltic States (remote occasional office visits)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Mid/Senior Java Developer to join a long-term fintech project. The role involves designing and developing scalable solutions working with microservices architecture and ensuring high-performance backend systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain web applications using Java and Angular
Implement microservices architecture
Modernize legacy systems to improve performance and reliability
Handle incident management (P1/P2 troubleshooting routing) and root cause analysis
Manage monitoring including capacity planning dashboards and synthetic monitoring
Perform deployments version documentation and change management
Optimize data and ensure regular application health checks
Create and maintain automation scripts (cron shell)
Collaborate on certificate management and infrastructure tasks
Must-Have Requirements:
3 years of experience in web application development
Strong skills in Java Angular SQL
Understanding of SOLID principles and OOP best practices
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic) and incident management
Experience with deployments documentation and automation
Good command of English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Progress OpenEdge
Experience with Drupal
