About the role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale engineering execution and people leadership across multiple development teams in our R&D organization. The role is central to building a predictable scalable and sustainable engineering organization as the company continues to grow.
As Engineering Manager you will focus on establishing consistent and scalable ways of working developing leaders and teams and ensuring reliable delivery while maintaining quality stability and clear ownership. You will work closely with Product QA Security Infrastructure and other engineering leaders to ensure alignment resolve dependencies and continuously improve how engineering delivers value.
Responsibilities
Lead mentor and develop multiple development teams establishing clear roles ownership balanced team capacity and scalable ways of working.
Support efficient and predictable delivery across teams by resolving blockers managing dependencies and supporting priority decisions in close collaboration with product leadership.
Evolve and standardize engineering practices and tooling to maximize efficiency stability and consistency across teams.
Implement and continuously evolve AI-supported engineering workflows and methodologies that are safe and efficient.
Collaborate closely with QA and Security leadership to integrate sustainable quality assurance processes and secure development practices into everyday engineering work.
Drive technical improvement initiatives including technical debt and component lifecycle management by clearly articulating trade-offs risks and alternative costs in collaboration with product leadership.
Participate in hiring onboarding development and performance management.
Manage the full lifecycle of consultant engagements ensuring effective integration with internal teams and alignment with delivery goals.
Establish and use execution metrics to create transparency support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g. Director of Engineering Senior Engineering Manager or similar) with responsibility for multiple teams.
Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching development and building scalable organizations.
Experience establishing consistent and scalable execution models.
Solid technical background with the ability to engage in architectural and lifecycle discussions without requiring hands-on coding.
Experience working cross-functionally with Product QA Security and Infrastructure teams.
Ability to manage complexity and scale in a fast-paced growing organization.
Experience using execution metrics to support continuous improvement.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in fluent English (Swedish is a plus).
