Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring Personal Care Aides (PCA) with experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia for weekday or weekend shifts in Centreville and surrounding areas. We also have additional opportunities available in Manassas Gainesville and nearby locations for various shifts and schedules.

What youll do:

Provide compassionate person-centered care to dementia and Alzheimers clients
Assist with bathing dressing grooming feeding and toileting
Offer gentle redirection and emotional support for memory-related behaviors
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
Offer companionship and engagement through conversation or activities
Give medication reminders and document all care
Support clients safely with mobility and transfers

Requirements:

Active Personal Care Aide license in the State of Virginia
Prior experience working with dementia or Alzheimers clients (mild to severe stages preferred)
Current CPR certification and negative TB screening
Ability to pass a background check (per Virginia HCO regulations)
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and insurance
Able to lift at least 25 lbs. and assist safely with transfers
