We are seeking an experienced Platform Database Engineer to support and optimize enterprise database environments within a global organization. This role focuses on database performance security automation and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. The ideal candidate brings deep database administration expertise strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities

Install configure monitor and maintain database environments to ensure security availability and performance

Develop and maintain automation and data processes using SQL PowerShell and data integration tools

Implement data access controls and monitoring solutions

Respond to and resolve database alerts incidents and service requests

Perform real-time troubleshooting and end-to-end problem resolution

Manage schema changes and scripts through version control systems

Collaborate with architects analysts developers and testers across distributed teams

Provide guidance on best practices performance tuning and database design improvements

Maintain documentation standards and operational procedures

Own deliverables and ensure timely accurate completion of assigned work

Support scheduled maintenance deployments and rotational off-hours coverage

Identify process improvements and recommend updated standards
Qualifications Skills & Experience

8 years of database administration experience supporting enterprise environments

Strong expertise in database backup recovery patching security and disaster recovery

Advanced proficiency in SQL development and performance tuning

Deep understanding of database architecture indexing optimization and execution planning

Experience supporting transactional and analytical database systems

Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms and multiple database technologies

Strong analytical organizational and troubleshooting skills

Experience collaborating with data warehouse and analytics teams preferred
