Caregiver / Home Care Aide Munster IN (Part-Time / PRN)

Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Munster IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting eating ambulation and transfers
Provide companionship conversation and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping laundry meal preparation and organization
Assist with safe mobility using walkers or wheelchairs
Provide medication reminders only (no administration)
Observe document and report changes in client condition
Clock in/out and complete care notes using a mobile app
Follow all agency policies safety standards and infection control procedures

Caregiver Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
1 year caregiving experience preferred (home care assisted living or long-term care)
CNA experience welcomed but not required
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance
Must pass a national background check
CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Dependable professional and compassionate
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
