Pipefitting/Orbital Welding Professor
Role:The Pipefitting/Orbital welding instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in Grayson Colleges Pipefitting and Orbital welding programs. Responsible to the Director of Industrial Technology and the Dean of Academic and Workforce Instruction.

Tuition-FT employees their spouse & dependents are eligible for coverage of full Grayson College tuition amount.
Responsibilities:
- 65% Teaches assigned classes and labs in the Pipefitting and Orbital welding programs. Evaluates student performances. May be required to teach a combination of credit and CE courses to college and/or high school students. Teaching hours may be a combination of morning afternoon and/or night sessions.
- 10% Works as a team member in the Industrial Technology Department; comply with the faculty responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty Handbook and the Colleges Policy and Procedure Manual.
- 10% Develops and updates curriculum as updated by the State of Texas participates in college committees and assists in registration advisement and recruiting of students.
- 10% Contributes to the campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Director of Industrial Technology.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous successful experience teaching in a community college environment is preferred.
- Education: AAS degree in an Industrial Technologies pathway or satisfactory completion of Trade School or minimum of five years of related work in the field and current NCCER Teaching Certificate required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success. Collegial attitude with the college community as well as outside entities.
- Other Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments. Experience tracking student learning outcomes analyzing resultant data and implementing improvement plans. Excellent computer and multimedia skills.
- Physical Requirements: This position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping. The job may require periodic lifting of heavy objects over 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
