Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:
This position supports the licensed care provider in the clinical setting by providing support for surgical procedures insertion of blocks and invasive monitoring. Assists in preparation of anesthesia equipment as well as the anesthesia delivery system before and during the time anesthesia is administered to patients. Responsible for first level of maintenance of anesthesia equipment including but not limited to cleaning disinfecting maintaining supply stock ordering and expediting repairs.

Licensing/Certification
BLS Basic Life Support American Heart Association (required)
Medical Terminology (preferred)
ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T) (preferred in lieu of experience)
Education
High School Diploma or GED (required)
2-year associates degree (preferred)
Graduate from an accredited Anesthesia Tech school or program (required in lieu of experience)
Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Work Experience
1 year experience of anesthesia emergency/medical or related experience (required in lieu of certification or education)
