Job Summary

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Receiving:Unload inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or packing lists recording shortages and damaged goods.
Shipping:Pack crate and prepare items for outgoing shipment; select appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
Documentation:Create bills of lading invoices and customs forms manually or using computer systems.
Inventory & Logistics:Move materials to designated storage areas maintain inventory records and update warehouse management systems.
Equipment Operation:Safely operate forklifts pallet jacks or other lifting equipment to handle materials.
Safety & Organization:Ensure a clean safe and organized workspace; comply with safety procedures and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Physical Stamina:Ability to lift heavy items stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Technical Skills:Proficiency with inventory software email and scanning devices.
Certification:Forklift operator license/certification is often required.
Communication:Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with carriers suppliers and internal departments.
Logistics Knowledge:Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
