We are hiring anexperiencedIndustrial AI applicationLead(ForwardDeployedEngineer)tojoin the AI Investigation andIncubationteam. This leader willdrive the development and deployment of AI solutions in industrial settings.Thishands-onsenior role will bridge the gap between AI technologies explorationand real-world applications ensuring solutions are practical scalable and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Provide industrial domainexpertiseto guide AI tool platform and roadmap decisionsand development
Work directly with internal and external customers in a consultative problem-solving manner togather feedback andrefine solutions
Drive investigations into the application of advanced AI capabilities to industrial problems.
Identifyand define industrial use cases for AI applications
Develop AI-enabled demos prototypes and proof-of-value solutionsfor industrial problems
Collaborate withcross-functional teamsto integrate AI capabilities into industrial software systemsandimplement AIsolutions
Evaluate the performance andimpactof AI models in operational environments
Support and mentorjunior team members
Essential Requirements
10 years of experiencein industrial systems automation applied AI or AI-enabled software engineeringwith at least 3 years in acustomer-facingtechnical lead position
Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceEngineeringIndustrial Systemsor a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
Exceptionalindustrial domain understanding (manufacturing energy infrastructure asset-intensive industriesmaterialscienceetc.)
Customer-focused pragmatic and results-orientedwith experience leading cross-functionaltechnicalprojects or customer engagements
Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying or integrating AI/ML solutions into real-worldindustrialenvironments
Ability toidentifyemerging opportunities for AI in industrial applications
Excellent communicationand interpersonalskillswiththe ability toembed closely with customer teams andcollaborateinternallyacross engineering product andcommercialteams
Desired skills and competencies
Experience working across on-prem edge and cloud-connected architectures
Prior work in environments transitioning from traditional on-prem systems to AI-enabled or hybrid architectures
Experienceoperatingwithin regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g.healthcare safety-critical systems data privacy)
Experience mentoring or guiding less-experienced engineers
Whatsuccesslookslike
AI solutions are successfully applied toreal industrialproblems not just conceptual designs
Prototypes and deploymentsdemonstratepractical feasibility and measurable impact
Codifiedlearnings insights and architecturalpatterns intoreferences guides playbooks or building blocks thataredigestibleand actionable forothers
Industrial constraints (latency security compliance reliability) are addressed through solid engineering decisions
Strong collaborationin a matrix / incubation environment contributing as a senior technical practitioner
