What youll be doing

Youll join a Strategy & Growth team that drives leadership connection and strategic alignment through impactful this role youll help design and deliver initiatives that make strategy clear and consistent. Youll turn ideas into materials that inform and engage teams.

The successful candidate will be supporting the development and execution of an engagement plan aligned to strategy enablement prioritiesincluding leadership connection strategic alignment and cross-business collaborationis a key focus. This includes creating communication artifacts such as email templates presentations toolkits and visual materials that effectively translate strategy into clear actionable messages. Additionally designing and building PowerPoint presentations that are visually engaging well-structured and tailored to leadership and enterprise audiences is essential. Responsibilities also involve supporting the creation and ongoing maintenance of an internal SharePoint site ensuring content is organized in an intuitive accessible and easy-to-navigate manner. Further assistance is provided in planning and coordinating internal workshops and engagement sessions encompassing the preparation of materials visuals and follow-up communications. Collaboration with partners across the business is integral as it enables the gathering of input alignment of messaging and ensures all communications are consistent inclusive and on brand.

Important information

  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation coding French proficiency MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you all that you have to offer and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.
  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.
  • Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages) a cover letter (no more than 1 page)and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded into the Resume section of the application as one pdf document.
  • You are e a student pursuing a degree in Communications Business Marketing Design Media or a related field. Youre building expertise that will help you thrive in dynamic environments.
  • A portfolio or work samples are strongly encouraged. If available please include links to examples of presentations videos SharePoint sites or other communication artifacts youve created.
  • Further clarity on the work location will be provided at the time of your interview. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Co-op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
  • Duration of term:4 months (May 2026 Aug 2026)

  • Communication & Storytelling You know how to simplify complex ideas and communicate them clearly through written visual and digital formats.
  • Design & Visual Thinking You have a strong eye for layout hierarchy and storytelling in presentations. Experience creating videos or multimedia content is an asset.
  • Digital Tools Youre confident working in PowerPoint and are familiar with SharePoint or eager to learn how to build engaging internal sites.
  • Collaboration You enjoy working with multiple stakeholders and incorporating feedback to strengthen final outputs.
  • Organization & Ownership You manage multiple deliverables effectively meet deadlines and take pride in the quality of your work.
