MRUSD is actively seeking qualified Special Education Co-Directors provide shared leadership administrative oversight and compliance monitoring for special education programs ensuring adherence to federal (IDEA/OSEP) and Vermont regulations (Act 173). This shared position collaboratively manages staff budgets ECP Mental Health/SEL IEP teams and professional development while representing the district in legal and policy matters. Directs the Special Education program for the Maple Run Unified School District. Ensures that all children with instructional support needs are identified and receive an appropriate educational program through the provision of special education services. The Co-Directors serve in a leadership role for pupil personnel services program and student assessment and professional staff development. Ensures compliance with Special Education Regulations (State and Federal).Education and/or Experience: Masters degree or equivalent three years of successful professional practice or administrative experience in special education or combination thereof. One year of successful experiences as a special education director in an approved special education program is Licenses Registrations: Valid Teaching License with Special Education Director endorsement (Ages 3-21).
