In this role you will be working as a Design Engineer for a manufacturer of aluminum boats. This position is responsible for developing 3D models engineering drawings CNCready outputs and documentation packages that support active production programs. You will play a key part in helping deliver engineering deliverables under tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
This is an immediate and longterm need for our client and is available on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fulltime role with overtime available and must be done onsite.
Pay: $25 - $40 / hr depending on experience and qualifications
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design aluminum fabrication design marine design or related industries
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D and AutoCAD
- Ability to create and update 3D models 2D drawings CNC nests and engineering documentation
- Experience supporting engineering deliverables in fabricationdriven or regulated environments
- Ability to collaborate resourcefully with engineers project staff and fabrication teams in a fastpaced setting
Bonus
- Mechanical or related engineering degree or similar technical education
- Electrical Engineering Degree or aptitude will be considered positively
- Experience preparing Governmentstandard or classificationstandard deliverables
- Familiarity with marine vessel components layout or sheet metal / aluminum boat construction
