The Opportunity:
The Senior SAP Supply Chain Functional Lead provides indepth technical expertise and direction for the design development and support of SAP application solutions that enable Abbotts global supply chain operations. This includes delivering new capabilities enhancements and system maintenance; preparing functional and technical specifications; and ensuring the development testing and deployment of efficient costeffective solutions.

This individual contributor role requires comprehensive expertise across all SAPSCM functional areas including but not limited to:
- Materials Management (MM)
- Production Planning (PP) & Production Execution (PPPI / PPDS)
- Quality Management (QM)
- Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)
- Logistics Execution (LE) Shipping Transportation (TM)
- Procurement / Supplier Management
- Advanced Planning (APO or IBP)
- Inventory Management & Logistics Operations
This role also includes Functional Architecture responsibilities helping shape solution architecture integration patterns standards scalability and alignment to the longterm global SAP roadmap.
You will coordinate with external partners suppliers and crossfunctional business teams; lead requirementsgathering workshops; and drive complex global project implementations. You will adapt established practices and may introduce new approaches to deliver innovative scalable compliant solutions.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all Corporate and Divisional policies executing configuration reviews functional testing design validation user training and hypercare support. You may serve as a technical expert or lead project teams to develop test and implement new business capabilities or process improvements.
You will conduct research and provide architectural and technical guidance on adopting or integrating new SAP technologies. Additional responsibilities include validating solution designs performing performance monitoring and capacity planning and supporting installation testing and upgrading of SAP releases and related tools.
As a functional architect you will also:
- Define and maintain SAPSCM solution architecture standards
- Develop crossprocess integration designs and data flows
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security guidelines
- Review and approve functional and technical solution designs
- Influence longterm SAP platform strategy and roadmap decisions
You will evaluate and recommend new software tools and methodologies and configure SAP systems to meet business needs. You are responsible for delivering all required project documentation including change requests specifications test results and system validation artifacts.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in IT and/or a complementary business discipline.
- At least 12 years of experience across SAPSCM process areas (MM PP QM WM/EWM IBP/APO Logistics Transportation Procurement) ideally in the healthcare industry.
- Experience contributing to or leading functional solution architecture in SAP environments.
- Prior project program or people management experience.
- Strong problemdetermination and rootcause analysis skills.
- Excellent collaboration and partnering skills with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in clear business language to senior leaders.
- Knowledge of business environment service requirements and organizational culture.
- Understanding process costs and experience working with Service Providers to maintain operational excellence and servicelevel compliance.
- Ability to accomplish results through others particularly through relationshipbuilding and influence.
- Ability to be firm fair and consistent in ensuring operational deliverables.
