Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Structures Mechanic - Mod Tech C at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Alaska.
In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders publications blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and engines.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking towing system operations).
Works under supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2 years of aircraft maintenance experience
1 years of experience with structural repair fabrication and modification on military fighter platforms (F-16 F-18 F-22 F-5 F-14 or F-15)
Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators micrometers sheet metal brakes and sheers.
Must be willing to work variable shifts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience repairing and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15 F-16 F-18 A-10 F-22 F-35
3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
1 year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems
Experience drilling cutting and fabricating aircraft structural components
