Job Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join a dynamic engineering environment working on a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys combining technical excellence with practical real-world problem solving and close collaboration across disciplines.
Job Description:
- Structural analysis and design using advanced finite element modelling tools
- Preparation and review of detailed engineering calculations reports and technical documentation
- Close coordination with architects engineers draughtsmen and construction teams
- Structural assessments and site inspections during design development and construction
- Ensuring alignment with applicable local and international standards and project requirements
- Providing practical buildable solutions to structural challenges as they arise on site
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis
- Proficient in FEM software such as ETABS Autodesk Robot Prokon or similar
- Strong working knowledge of SANS standards and local construction practices
- Progress toward professional registration is advantageous
- Detail-focused technically confident and able to communicate effectively at all levels
Qualification:
- Beng/ BSc Civil or Structural Engineering
- Masters in Engineering (advantageous)
