We arelooking for:
Credentialed Veterinary Technician
This position has an initial hiring range of $22 to $36 per hour based on skillset and experience.
Whatyoulldo:
- Collect process and prepare blood and blood products (e.g. red cells plasma platelets) according to strict protocols and safety standards.
- Perform blood typing compatibility testing and antibody screening to support safe transfusions and critical care decisions.
- Maintain inventory and storage of blood products ensuring proper labeling tracking and compliance with quality control procedures.
- Document and manage accurate records of all blood bank activities including test results product distribution and regulatory reporting.
- Support quality assurance practices and routine calibration/maintenance of blood bank laboratory equipment.
- Record and deliver organized
- roundsdiscusscasesandgatheradditionalinformation as necessary
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
- Partner withpatient care teamregardingtreatment plans clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including but not limitedto:home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessmenttreatmentand procedures
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesiaandsedation procedures
- Perform in-house laboratory testingandprepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license
- Prior veterinary experiencepreviousCritical Care Nursing or Emergencyexperience desired
- Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
