Job Description:

A Pitney Bowes Internship prepares students for the rigors of the working world while providing a professional and engaging learning experience. Our internships offer meaningful work with the potential to directly impact our business (learn while doing). In addition to challenging work interns grow their professional networks. From Day 1 they have the opportunity to network with fellow interns from schools across the country as well as PB employees at all levels of the organization.

Our vision is to offer undergraduate and masters students an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience while impacting our business in a meaningful way by:

• PROJECTS: Interns are spread throughout our businesses. Each intern manager will provide intentional learning objective goals and assign real-life projects to own and drive during the summer

• SUPPORT: Each intern will be paired up with a mentor who will provide guidance support and insight into The PB Way!

• PAY: The wage range for this position is $19 to $24 per hour with the actual pay dependent on your education level skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.

• JOB OFFERS: The intern program may only last 10-weeks June 1st - August 7th but we dont want the experience to end there. Our top interns are often offered extended internships or future job opportunities at Pitney Bowes

About the Opportunity:

Youll take on a focused analytical project that helps Finance and Operations understand the drivers of profitability and strengthens the partnership between both teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze historical financial and operational data to identify major cost components
• Partner with Finance to define a short list of controllable cost drivers
• Build a simplified financial model linking cost drivers to profitability
• Perform sensitivity and what-if analyses (e.g. 5% 10%)
• Summarize insights in clear non-technical language
• Prepare a final presentation with findings and recommendations

Key Deliverables

• Cost driver identification summary
• Sensitivity analysis model (Excel-based)
• Visuals (tables / charts / waterfall) illustrating impact on profitability
• Executive summary highlighting the most impactful levers
• Final presentation to Finance and Operations leadership

Skills & Learning Outcomes

• Understanding of cost structures and profitability drivers
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis
• Excel-based sensitivity analysis
• Linking operational decisions to financial outcomes

Candidate Profile

• Rising sophomore or junior majoring in Finance Accounting Economics or Business
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
• Proficiency in Excel
• Interest in operational finance and FP&A
