Electrical Engineer - Lansing MI
DISHER is partnering with an engineering-forward architecture firm to add an Electrical Engineer to their team in Lansing MI. This company delivers facility and building projects across industrial education commercial mixed-use and multi-family markets blending electrical engineering with integrated architectural design.

What youll get to do:
- Design electrical power lighting and communication systems for a variety of building and facility projects.
- Produce detailed plans specifications schematics one-line diagrams and construction documents.
- Help define electrical scope estimate materials and labor and support project planning.
- Use engineering and design software to perform calculations and develop coordinated electrical layouts.
- Collaborate with architects engineers and clients to address design needs and resolve questions.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes standards and specific client requirements.
- Support site visits and field coordination as appropriate gaining exposure to how designs perform in the real world.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) required.
- Approximately 13 years of experience in building electrical design (power and lighting) or strong internships/co-ops in similar work; training and mentorship are available.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for electrical design; familiarity with lighting calculation software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills close attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
- Interest in pursuing EIT/PE and continued professional growth; the company supports licensure and continuing education.
