This position is well suited for someone who is enthusiastic friendly committed to education interest in agriculture and must like public speaking and to engage people in interactive educational/recreational activities.
Required: Two-year degree in Education Interpretation History or Agricultural Sciences OR the equivalent in other work experience. Work record that shows reliability initiative excellent interpersonal skills and productivity. Interest in agricultural science and interpretation. Be willing to continually increase knowledge of agricultural history. Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid State of Illinois drivers license. Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification and DCFS Mandated Reporter Certification or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred: Experience working with children is a plus.

Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and Planning Assistant Superintendent of Outdoor Education and Manager of Farm Programs and Interpretive Services the Agriculture Interpreter shall complete their assigned duties to the best of their abilities.
