As a Perianesthesia Registered Nurse you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients following anesthesia. You will provide comprehensive care monitoring and support to help patients transition from the effects of anesthesia to full consciousness and recovery.

Job Description:

Role: Perianesthesia Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Thayer Center for Health Waterville
Schedule: Per diem

Shift: Days

What Youll Do:

  • Plans implements and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and provide patient education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess a current State of Maine RN license or the ability to obtain one promptly
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek out resources independently and work collaboratively within a team
  • At least one year of experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.
