The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Level M) to join the Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) Space Exploration Systems team in New Orleans LA!
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position along with the ability to build strong relationships collaborate in a cross-functional environment and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and programs across multiple Boeing locations including Huntsville AL Kennedy Space Center FL and Houston TX.
- Manages employees and mid-level managers develop projects and program plans at all levels across functional areas and executes all project phases to achieve objectives within scope time quality and constraints from initiation to post completion.
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives.
- Acquires resources for organizational activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
- Manages develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 10 years performing in a leadership role
- 5 years of experience in NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
- 5 years of experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
- 5 years of experience working with Earn Value Management (EVM)
- Strong communication problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Directly participates in establishing managing and administering multiple projects concurrently
- Experience in developing and managing technical cost and schedule metrics and technical performance measures (TPM)

Travel: Some travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
