Job Summary

POSITION: HS English/ELA Substitute (mid-April through EOY)

QUALIFICATIONS: -

Bachelors degree (minimum)

Masters degree & Massachusetts teaching certification (preferred)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare lessons and create a differentiated environment that supports the learning styles and emotional needs of all students.
Assess and evaluate students educational progress and abilities using formative and summative measures.
Collaborate with a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to develop common assessments analyze student work and implement effective teaching strategies.
Communicate with parents administration and students regarding academic content expectations and student progress.
Attend to all teacher duties and professional development.
Uphold support and promote the Core Values of Wakefield Public Schools in all areas of teaching and learning as a member of the English department for Wakefield Memorial High School.
Other duties may be assigned.
