About the Role:

The Compliance Director will lead critical operational activities within Convatecs global compliance program. Core responsibilities include driving global policy updates ensuring efficient and meaningful training and communications; developing and executing a global training and communication strategy and designing and managing a coordinated global monitoring plan.

The role requires strong judgment initiative and deep subject matter expertise. Candidates must possess strong working knowledge of global anti-bribery anti-corruption and anti-kickback laws as well as global privacy laws along with significant experience implementing and operation compliance programs in the life sciences industry.

The Director will engage cross-functionally across business and geographies and must be skilled in assessing key metrics interpreting compliance KPIs and developing dashboards that drive insights and inform priorities.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Eastern or Central time zone within the United States.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Revise and update policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement a training and communication plan including drafting effective and pithy trainings
  • Develop a monitoring plan and coordinate global monitoring efforts
  • Engage in data analytics and reviews of KPIs
  • Development and maintenance of the compliance dashboard
  • Compliance oversight of HCP engagements grants and Investigator-Sponsored Research
  • Compliance advice and guidance for key stakeholders

About You:

The Compliance Director will direct and strengthen all 7 elements of an effective compliance program including policies and procedures governance training and education clear and impactful communications consistent enforcement of standards auditing and monitoring and timely response and remediation.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Deep working knowledge of the enforcement and environment and key risks facing life sciences organizations
  • 15 plus years of legal and compliance experience ideally with a medical device pharmaceutical or related health care sectors
  • Experience with global compliance issues including anti-bribery anti-corruption anti-kickback False Claims Act and privacy compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong judgment analytical capability discretion cultural sensitivity diligence and collaborative work style including knowing when to escalate issues

  • Familiarity with Navex and MedCompli
  • Project Management Expertise

Working Conditions:

May work remotely with some travel (up to 20% within the United States but could include global travel) expected
