About theprogramme

OurTechnology Graduate Programme begins with a 3-monthbootcampintosoftware developmentfollowed bythe opportunity toexplorethreePlatform Engineering teams over two years.This includes Python Platform Infrastructure (Linux. Windows Networks Storage Databases Infosec) End-User and Architecture and Operations.Youlltackle impactful projects receive formal training gain mentorship from seniorleadersanddevelopa thorough understanding of our business.Uponsuccessfully completingthe programmeyoullbe well-positionedtobuilda long-term career at Man Group

What can you learn

• Managing large internal data centres with tens of thousands of cores and hundreds of terabytes of memory running Python atscale.

• Building andmanagingManGroups infrastructure bothon-premisesand in the cloud usingtechnologiessuch asPython.Net Linux Windows Server Databases and Storage Systems

• Writing software to automate infrastructure and creating flexible self-service technology for thousands of users across ManGroup

• Maintaining reliable systems while administering petabyte-scale storage and large GPU deployments

• Operating and optimising global network interconnects within our data centres.

• Workingclosely with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Who are we looking for

Join us as anAssociateEngineer in the Platform Engineering departmentandyoullbe part of a team thatbuilds and runsthe platform powering ManGroupshedge funds.

Keyskills & experiences:

• Experience working with any of the following programming or scripting languages: C#/Java/Python/Powershell/C

• Your technical experience may have been gained throughopen sourcemaintenance 2years of relevant industry experience or as arecent graduate or currently studying for a degree in Computer Science Engineering MathematicsPhysicsor related discipline

• Understanding of how source control and continuous deployment workflows workwith tools like git

• Experience administratingoperating systemse.g.Linux Windows or MacOS and understanding of cloud technologies

• Self-organised with the ability toprioritise andeffectively manage time across multiple projects

• Excellent communicationand problem-solvingskills

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills

• Self-starter with adesire to learn and understand more about thebusiness environment in which you work
