Job Summary

Hoffmaster is seeking a motivated R&D Intern to support hands-on product testing data analysis and competitive research within our Research & Development team. This internship offers meaningful real-world experience in material testing lab operations and product performance analysis with direct exposure to engineers and technical role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Engineering Chemistry Materials Science Packaging Science or a related technical field who are eager to apply classroom learning in a lab-based Youll DoAs an R&D Intern you will support key projects focused on building in-house testing capabilities and accelerating competitive insights. Responsibilities include:Support the development of in-house chemical testing protocols for new materials using simplified testing methods under the guidance of R&D Engineers EHS and the Lab SupervisorCreate and document product strength testing protocols for formed paperboard productsBuild and maintain a database of internal and competitive product test data analyzing results and identifying trends and patternsAcquire test organize and log competitive product samples and present relevant findings to the R&D teamAssist with general lab operations and serve as a backup to Lab Technicians as neededWhat Were Looking ForCurrently pursuing a bachelors degree in Engineering Chemistry Materials Science Packaging Science or a related fieldInterest in lab testing data analysis and product developmentStrong attention to detail and ability to document processes clearlyComfortable working with data (Excel or similar tools preferred)Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teamsWillingness to follow safety procedures and lab protocols
