This role would be responsible for engineering the process heating cooling & utility systems within a prospective project. The Industrial Mechanical Engineer provides ongoing technical consultation to facilitate the sales/business development processes and working with the project management team to execute projects for the customer. This individual would also have the responsibility of developing comprehensive value-driven mechanical processes and HVAC system solutions at industrial facilities. Responsibilities:
- Experience with chilled water plant design consisting of chillers cooling towers pumps piping valving expansion and buffer tanks and all associated piping instrumentation.
- Oversee the design and development of comprehensive engineering documentation for EPC and industrial projects. This role involves a combination of hands-on engineering and managing third-party engineering services to deliver a complete engineering package including but is not limited to:
- General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- P&ID drawings
- Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) calculations
- Nozzle load analysis (forces and moments)
- Anchorage details
- FAT procedures
- Act as main point for technical questions for vendors project management and field personnel.
Support project managers and field teams with technical expertise. - Develop innovative solutions that bring additional value to the customer.
- Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends.
- Identify and utilize software modeling tools.
- Utilize cloud tools such as Microsoft Teams & SharePoint for collaboration.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of construction or engineering related work experience.
- PE license is not a requirement for this position.
- Mastery of refrigeration and hydronic fundamentals including system design.
- Mastery of AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience with ASME & API standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task work well with others and have a positive attitude.
- Clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle.
