Overview
We are seeking an Aviation Designer - Hybrid to join our team in Tampa FL.
Your role
Provides design and production of construction plans and drawings in support of engineeringor architectural project(s); selects and recommends design procedures.
Typical duties depending on service may involve geometry design grading & pavementdesign drainage design utility design drafting electrical diagrams or mechanical detailsfor structures or bridges roadway alignment architectural details sanitary sewer pumpstation or water & sewer systems or treatment plan design etc.
Reads and interprets survey data legal description government standards and codesand applies to design.
Performs calculations utilizing knowledge of algebra geometry and trigonometry asrequired.
Develops and lays out conceptual designs for proposals to be reviewed by a seniortechnical professional for conformance with specifications and client requirements.
Develops and lays out final plan designs on assigned project or portions of projects.
Performs designs utilizing CAD.
Develops and may draft sections of projects or details for construction projects.
Supplies technical data for specifications; provides quantities and cost estimates.
Maintains good knowledge of governmental regulations codes and ordinances andapplies them to plans as needed.
Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Work involves analytical ability to select and recommend design procedures interpretcomplex ordinances and specifications analyze design requirements and provide designsolutions.
Works independently on design projects consistently exercising discretion and judgmentunder supervision.
Design work utilizes individual creativity but is always reviewed by a Professional Architect or Engineer.
May give work direction or coordinate the work of technicians and others who assist inspecific assignments.
Interfaces with internal technical professionals and technical managers.
Meets with contractors regulatory agency staff and utility company personnel; may meetwith client representatives.
About you
Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture or equivalent technical discipline with five (5) years experience.
OR Associates degree plus a minimum of eight (8) years progressive drafting and designexperience including at least two as a Designer.
OR HS diploma (or equivalent) plus aminimum of ten (10) years progressive drafting and design experience.
Requires proficiency in CAD and good interpersonal skills.
Requires Aviation experience.

Ability to process paper/electronic documents and operate computerequipment.
Ability to communicate effectively and work under the pressure of multipledeadlines.
Ability to interpret data conceptualize ideas and prepare designs.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $48000 - $80000 annually depending on skills experience and geographical location.
